13 Movies

For this Thursday 13, I figured to make a list of the best movies of 2009 I saw in theaters.

1. Star Trek

2. Watchmen

3. Avatar

4. Zombie Land

5. District 9

5. Drag Me to Hell

6. Inglorious Basterds

7. Taken

8. Terminator: Salvation

9. Ninja Assassin

10. Underworld: Rise of the Lycans

11. Sherlock Holmes

12. Crank 2

13. G.I. Joe

Looking at this list (and the list I grabbed it from)... this is almost all the movies that I saw in theaters this year... this makes me sad, I love going to the movies and I hardly ever do it, anymore. *Sigh*

  1. I agree with you - I really haven't seen many movies at all. I did come across a couple that I wanted to see multiple times (esp Star Trek) which is even more rare.

You did better than me, though. I've only seen a few of the ones on your list. Thanks for the reminder that there is more I need to catch up on!

  4. Cool! But can you tell me what you liked about "Zombie Land"? I just thought it was okay. I'm in the minority according to the high rating on Internet Movie Database. Sigh...

But "Drag Me To Hell" rocked! The end was brutal. I love Justin Long. :)

Thrilled to see your blog! I really like the photo. It's lovely!

  5. Darla, all I really expected from Zombie Land was a cheesy Zombie movie with some good laughs and plenty of Zombie killing. And, that's what I received... I also additionally received a pretty good looking female co-star. It was simply a fun film that I enjoyed watching.

It's not one of the best films that I saw/was released this year, but of the films that I saw in theaters only one is not on this list (unless the website I found was incomplete).
